The book „Béla Bartók and Serbian Music“ contains papers from the conference held in December 2012 in Budapest, organized by Serbia Institute of Musicology of the HAS. The conference was held in honour of a jubilee – a century from the Béla Bartók phonograph recordings of the traditional music of Serbs in the Banat region. The topics of numerous experts’ papers in the sphere of ethnochoreology, ethnomusicology and musicology, as well as musicians – contemporary connoisseurs of folk instruments have only one purpose – to provide knowledge, ideas, thoughts and information viewed from different angles in one place. The book contains seven scientific papers written by László Felföldi, Zoltán G. Szabó, Stevan Bugarski, Jelena Jovanović, Gábor Eredics and Katarina Tomašević. Short summaries are included on Serbian, Hungarian and English.
